March 9, 2016 – Richmond, VA – The Mid-Atlantic Federation of Turkic American Associations (MAFTAA) collaborated with the American Turkish Friendship Association (ATFA) to organize the 8th Turkish American Cultural Reception at the Library of Virginia in Richmond.
The purpose of the reception was to bring together community leaders, individuals and state leaders. In addition, there were representatives from both chambers of the General Assembly, who enjoyed a wide array of cultural delicacies, music and artwork such as calligraphy and Ebru- Art (water marbling). FACETS, a non-profit organization, partnered with ATFA and MAFTAA during the reception to assist the communities in Fairfax County.
