US Congressmen attended Kazakh Embassy’s event at the Capitol Visitor Center

Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the US celebrated the Commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions at the US Capitol Visitor Center. On the behalf of the event hosts, H.E. Alexander Sudyin, Deputy Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and H.E. Kairat Umarov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United States, and with the help of the Turkic American Alliance member federations of TCAA and TCAE were honored to organize a reception and photo exhibition on May 7.

Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions was brought into life under the idea of the President of Kazakhstan to promote dialogue between the leaders of world and traditional religions, to widen prospects for mutual cooperation, and to overcome such negative manifestations of our time as violence, fanaticism, and extremism.

Nearly 20 members of US Congress were also among the attendants of this tremendous event. Hosts were pleased to see Representatives Dana Rohrabacher, Jim Bridenstine, Bill Cassidy, Paul Tonko and other Congressmen.

President of the Turkic American Alliance Dr. Faruk Taban, TCAA President Furkan Kosar, and TCAE members had a chance to discuss mutually beneficial and important projects with H.E. Alexander Sudyin and his delegation of Kazakh Senators Serik Akylbai and Khussain Valiyev.

“We are hoping to strengthen our warm ties with the Republic of Kazakhstan and aiming to contribute to the best of the Kazakh and other Turkic communities in the United States,” said Mr. Kosar.
