Turkish Cultural Center opens in Manchester, NH

On March 23, 2013 Turkish Cultural Center opened in Manchester with a reception. Gov. Maggie Hassan greets the Consul General of Turkey, Burak Kararti at a meeting with community leaders, then she was on hand for the event, cutting a ceremonial red ribbon and proclaiming. Among the guest were State Senator Lou D’Allesandro; Nedim Aycaner, a board member of the TCCNH; Eyup Sener, president of TCCNH; Furkan Kosar, president of the Council of Turkic American Associations.

The guests mentioned the importance of Turkish Cultural Center for the region in order to promote friendship, culture, peace, and prosperity. Gov. Hassan said “Your efforts to support the needs of the Turkish community and encourage mutual respect and understanding among all of our people by bringing everyone together in an open dialogue is a shining example of what makes New Hampshire so special”.
