Baku doesn’t often see many high level US Officials altogether at once. Over 30 individual delegations from all corners of US including government officials, media members, and NGO representatives witnessed Baku’s very modern views. They visited the Heyder Aliyev Convention Center, 162-metre giant flagpole, Azerbaijani Parliament, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, Qala Archaelogical Park, Gala Bazar Restaurant, and Atashgah Temple Complex.

The Academy is a school of international relations established under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan in March 2006. Its main objective is to train specialists for a diplomatic career in Azerbaijani foreign affairs and its founding rector is Dr. Hafiz Pashayev, who is a Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan and a former ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United States.

The trip ended by fireworks show from Gulustan Palace during Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.
