March 23, 2016, Maryland – The Rumi Forum organized a luncheon talk as part of their speaker series. This month’s topic was titled “The Changing Religious and Demographic Landscape in America: Trends and Public Opinion”. The speaker was Robert P. Jones, CEO of Public Religion Research Institute and author of the forthcoming book “The End of White Christian America”, which will be published in July 2016.

The discussion examined the American attitudes about these changes–including attitudes toward religious minority groups, immigrants, and race relations–and highlighted how these attitudes are influencing the political landscape. Dr. Robert P. Jones is the CEO of Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) and a leading scholar and commentator on religion, values, and public life. He is the author of two academic books and numerous peer-review articles on religion and public policy.
