President Obama’s Final State of the Union Address

January 13, 2016, Washington, DC. President Barack Obama’s final State of the Union Address will be remembered as a symbol of hard leadership that has been accumulated over the period of seven years of tough political, social, and economical challenges.

In his speech, President Obama, summarized all the major reforms that he tried to accomplish and all the potential obstacles that need to be overcome in the near future under the new patron of the White House. He also touched on several very sensitive issues that american nation faced during his tenure at the White House, including foreign policy challenges, economic barriers, current world refugee crisis and national security interests, as well as environmental policies were dominating his less than an hour speech in front of the Congress and the country.

For the Turkic American community, it was important to learn about the government’s efforts on taking on the Islamic State, which he described as a dangerous threat to the United States and the world in general and contradicts the humane philosophy of Islam.
