Pacifica Opens New Branch in Seattle

On February 21, 2015, Pacifica Institute opened a held a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony in their newest center located in Northeast Philadelphia in Seattle, Washington. The Turkish community hosted a number of dignitaries, including several political and Turkish community leaders.  Distinguished guests included Claudia Balducci, Mayor of Seattle and Congressman Adam Smith (WA), each of whom offered brief remarks to those in attendance.

Following the ribbon-cutting, distinguished guests were given a tour of the new facilities and they greeted the local Turkic-American community members with a warm reception.  The new branch is located at 13219 NE 20th St. #209 in Bellevue, WA.

The center will be used to engage the community in civic activities, promote dialogue mutual respect and appreciation through programs such as friendship dinners, panels, conferences and aid relief efforts. The new branch joins the cities of Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Silicon Valley, East Bay, Burlingame and San Fernando Valley.
