Pacifica Institute Receives Community Award

On February 5, 2015, Pacifica Institute received the “Community Award” in an an annual award ceremony hosted by the Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable in Utah. Josie Stone, Vice Chairwoman of the Utah Interfaith Roundtable presented the award and showed her appreciation The guest speaker, Hon. Sean Reyes, Attorney General of Utah pointed out the value of religious dialogue and its contributions to improving public welfare. He explained further that the activities based on this form of Pacifica and other similar organizations for advancing peace within the state. James Dardine, Chairman of the Public Affairs Council for the LDS church and David Sharp both received awards that evening. The Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable mission is to promote interfaith dialogue, respect and collaboration to achieving peace in the world.
