Meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan

A delegation which consisted of the Turkic American Alliance’s Board Members met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York City today. Prime Minister Erdogan spent almost an hour with these Representatives of Turkic American Community.Both parties were very friendly to each other and the meeting consisted of joyful conversations. President of Turkic American Alliance Dr. Faruk Taban and Presidents of TAA’s Member Federations had found an opportunity to meet

with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan even though he had busy program by meeting with the United States President Barack Obama and giving a report to CNN. As Dr. Taban mentioned the Prime Minister’s program could be more flexible in here than in Turkey they found enough time to share ideas with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Dr. Taban discussed the activities and events that TAA has organized for the past year with the Prime Minister. With knowledge of such events His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan was amazed at the efforts put forth by Turkish Americans. Prime Minister Erdogan urged Dr. Taban and his colleagues to continue their wonderful achievements and explained that in order to solidify better relationships with people of different cultures.

Prime Minister Erdogan also discussed his meeting with President Barack Obama and noted key points to Dr. Faruk Taban. He underlined importance of the Turkic American Alliance’s activities in the US in order to better represent Turkic American Community in here and introduce Turkey as it is. Prime Ministerurged the TAA representatives to follow through with their actions. Turkish American relations are not at their peak right now but with the support of organizations like TAA, improvement is in the horizon.
