Congresswoman Yvette Clark visited Brooklyn Amity School

Congresswoman Yvette Clark, Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein, Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz and Assemblyman Alain Maisel visited Brooklyn Amity School in order to congratulate the students of Amity School for representing New York in the biggest USA National Karate Championship.  Amity’s students earned 13 medals, including 5 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals.  They all expressed their amazement at these astonishing results.  It is all thanks to the students’ and their teacher’s, Meral Olmez’s World Champion 2 times hard work.

Mr. Cengiz Karabekmez, the school’s Principal is extremely proud of their achievements.   He personally made sure that the students would get full funding including all expenses in order to make it possible.  Amity is famous for providing outstanding education but now the school may add the astonishing athletic accomplishment to show its excellence.  The age of the students varied from 6 year old to 17.  Amity ensures a well rounded education, after all it is the key to every student’s  success.  Opportunities like that clearly set Amity School apart in terms of jump starting a lifetime of achievements.

It has been nearly one year since Brooklyn Amity School took over the premises of 3867 Shore Parkway.  The transformation is absolutely remarkable.  Its students showed us that they are capable of delivering incredible results after all being one of the best athletes in the US is an amazing. In addition, immediately after the competition the traveled to some of the most prestigious schools in the US such as Harvard University and Georgetown.  It is amazing to see how much impact private education has on maximizing each student’s potential.
