January 26, 2016, Washington D.C. The Turkic American Alliance is proud to announce that it will hold its first Annual Student Awards Ceremony on March 16th, 2016 at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington D.C.
The award ceremony aims to honor the achievements of young leaders from high school and college and recognize their efforts and contributions to improving the Turkic community and the community at-large. The ceremony will be held during the Gala dinner. This year’s categories include a Youth Leadership Award, Emerging Leader Award and Public Service Award. The awards are open to successful high school and college students and will include a $500 reward.
Students are not eligible to apply for the awards themselves but can only be nominated. Members of Turkic American community interested in nominating a student for these awards must submit their selection(s) on the TAA website. The awards will be given on the basis of achievement, impact, problem-solving and leadership potential. The award recipients will be announced on March 2, 2016 on the website.
