The Rethink Institute organized a conference on a topic “Understanding the Syrian Opposition” in the Conference Hall of TAA. There were a huge turnout in the event. In light of increased frustration over the failing UN peace plan, the Syrian crisis has taken a tragic turn for the worse. The Al-Houla massacre and the wave of attacks in residential areas have amply demonstrated the importance of seeking alternatives for resolving the Syrian crisis.The Rethink Institute, in line with its mission of
understanding contemporary political and cultural challenges in realizing peace and justice around the world, and in collaboration with the Syrian Expatriates Organization, brings together representatives from the Syrian opposition and experts on the region to discuss the Syrian opposition, and its nature, aspirations and significant challenges during these decidedly, difficult times.
