On October 17,2011, Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul warmly received 3 delegations that were to visit in Turkey by Member Federations of the Turkic American Alliance at His Excellencies Tarabya Residence in Istanbul. There were one US Representative by West American Turkic Council (WATC), another US Representative by Council of Turkic American Associations (CTAA) and Speaker of State House by Mid Atlantic Federation of Turkic American Associations (MAFTAA) among those delegations that came to Turkey for intercultural trips. President Gul’s acceptance of those delegations was a great honor for TAA’s efforts organizing those kinds of intercultural trips to Turkey.
In the same week, two more trips which consist of State Senators and Delegates were organized by Turkic American Federation of Southeast (TAFS). In addition to that, two more trips which composed by Chiefs of Staffs of the US Congress were organized respectively by Council of Turkic American Associations (CTAA) and by Turkish American Federation of Midwest (TAFM).
Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan who is responsible for the Economy of Turkey received the delegation that came by WATC.
