After the conclusion of two successful Forum sessions, attendants of the 4th Annual Turkic American Convention gathered in the Ballroom of the Willard InterContinental Hotel for the Luncheon. The Luncheon focused on the importance of our sponsors and the help they provided to make the 4th Annual Turkic American Convention a reality. The President of TUSKON, Rizanur Meral, delivered opening remarks to a full audience, praising the Convention and the work that the Turkic American Alliance does. Mr. Meral stated that the existence of such an event for establishing dialogue was significant because it unifies and creates a platform for the establishment of relationships. TUSKON in particular maintains that these relationships with the Turkic countries and the United States will help Turkey through her transition period.
Rashid Chulagov, Chairman of the Silk Road Business Association of Azerbaijan, took to the podium next, humbly stating what a proud sponsor he was of the Convention and of what it has accomplished in the past four years since its establishment. Mr. Chulagov reinforced Mr. Meral’s statement of the importance of relationships that the Turkic American Convention builds and expressed his looking forward to many more years to come.
Later, the Chairman of the State Parliament of Osh, Kyrgyzstan, was invited to the stage. He thanked organizers for inviting him to the Convention and for giving him the opportunity to introduce himself and Kyrgyzstan. During his remarks Primov Ulan highlighted the importance of such Conventions for all Central Asian countries and invited Convention guests to visit his hometown Osh, Kyrgyzstan.
