On January 22, TAA President Faruk Taban toured the White House with Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI). Since Inauguration Day fell on a Sunday, a private ceremony was held in the White House that day with the official ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on the Monday following. The White House is known the People’s House because it is the place visitors from all across the United States and around the world could come together to share in the history of the United States of America.

Dr. Taban mentioned that it was an honor to visit the White House with Senator Stabenow. Dr. Taban also pointed out that the White House has an admirable decoration and time-honored tradition. For instance, creative traditions are represented in every corner of the White House. Especially, in the East Room, from the handcrafted wooden ornaments on each of the trees to antique paintings and needlework on display, it creates a unique atmosphere.
