On February 12th, President Obama delivered the 2013 State of the Union address to Congress and the nation. The State of the Union is the address presented by the President of the United States to a joint session of the United States Congress, typically delivered annually. The address not only reports on the condition of the nation but also allows presidents to outline their legislative agenda and their national priorities. The attendees are members of the United States House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, along with hundreds of distinguished guests.
Mr. Kemal Oksuz, President of the Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians also attended the 2013 State of the Union address and said “It is an honor to be invited , and I am very delighted to be a part of this wonderful community”. He mentioned that he was very pleased to see Representatives and Congressmen from his home state, Texas. At the follow-up reception Mr. Oksuz met with Senators, Representatives, government officials and attorneys, and discussed with them a wide variety of issues.
