The Turkic American Alliance wholeheartedly congratulates Francis Ricciardone, the current United States Ambassador to Turkey, who has been appointed to serve a full diplomatic term in Ankara. Francis J. Ricciardone is confirmed as US ambassador to Turkey in a vote of the US Senate on Tuesday, following approval last month from the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Francis J. Ricciardone speaks fluently Turkish and he is career diplomat, previously served as U.S. ambassador to Egypt, ambassador to the Philippines, deputy U.S. ambassador in Afghanistan, and in two earlier tours in Turkey, including as deputy chief of mission and charge d’affaires.
