On Friday, August 1st, Dr. Faruk Taban attended the 58th Annual Conference hosted by Sister Cities International in San Jose. California. The theme of the conference was ‘The Power of Diplomacy.’
Dr. Taban was invited as a panelist on the ‘Vulnerable Populations in the Middle East’ panel. During the panel, Dr. Taban contributed to the conversation through discussions of the Kurdish people in Turkey and Northern Iraq, as well as the 1 million Syrian refugees currently seeking shelter in Turkey.
