Mayor Melih Gokcek visited Ted Poe (R-TX)

Mayor of Ankara Mr. Melih Gokcek had a returning visit to Hon. Ted Poe (R-TX) who visited himself in Ankara during the Easter Break at the US Congress. The visit passed in a friendly atmosphere with the expression of mutual good wishes to each other. Parties discussed about how to develop future cooperation and related issues. President of Turkic American Alliance Dr. Faruk Taban and Executive Director of Mid-Atlantic Federation of Turkic American Associations (MAFTAA) Mr. Mahmut Yeter attended the meeting that was organized by the authorities of Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians (TCAE). As a present, Mr. Melih Gokcek was given a Congress Pin which was released last week by Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX). Afterward, Mayor Gokcek left Rep. Poe’s office in order to sign “Sister City” agreement with Mayor of Washington D.C. Mr. Vincent Gray by having wishes to meet again in a short time. As Congressman Poe promised at the Gala Reception of TAA in last year he used to come to Turkey with a special visit and then had an official visit to Turkey for one and half day after a short time. The Member of Turkish Caucus Rep. Poe is one of the three judges in Congress and has close relationship with TCAE.
