On Thursday, August 7th, Jean Baptiste-Natama, Chief of Staff to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AU) visited TAA headquarters which included an office tour and a meeting. During the meeting, TAA President Dr. Taban shared the mission and goals of the organization as well as its current projects.
Mr. Natama briefly highlighted the key objectives of the African Union as well as its vision and efforts to promote African integration and initiatives to achieve economic and social development. In addition, he discussed the importance of creating a space for dialogue with nations at the local level in order to promote lasting peace. According to Mr. Natama, “Nations need to endorse the theme of promoting humanity as a whole to create a scenery of action”.
Born in Bukina Faso, Mr. Natama has extensive diplomatic experience, where he has served in various capacities in his home nation, United Nations and African regional organizations.
