CATA Chamber Hosts 4th Annual Turkic American Legislative Dinner in California

On Tuesday, August 26th, the California Turkish American Chamber of Commerce (CATA Chamber) hosted its 4th Annual Turkic American Legislative and Business Dinner’s in California’s capital city, Sacramento. The event was co-sponsored by West American Turkic Council (WATC), TUSKON, California Asian Pacific Chamber, Sacramento Black Chamber and the Northern California World Trade Center. Distinguished guests included Assemblymembers Bonnie Lowenthal, Bill Quirk, Robert Weickowski and Assembly Republican Caucus Chairman Bryan Jones and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce.
The evening opened with welcoming remarks by the President of the CATA Chamber discussed the on importance of hosting the reception and collaborating with California-based business chambers. Shortly thereafter, Ms. Ayse Taspinar, a Turkish pianist entertained the guests with a musical performance. The  evening’s keynote speaker, Executive Director of TUSKON-U.S., Hakan Tasci gave a reported on the developments of a US-Turkey business.
Later, brief remarks were made by distinguished guests, which included the President and CEO of the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Edwin Lombard III, President and CEO of the Northern California World Trade Center, Ms. Renee Taylor, President of the Turkic American Alliance, Dr. Faruk Taban, and the Director of Public Policy and Strategic Relationships of the California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Julian Canete. The evening concluded with fruitful conversations and a family photo of all the guests.
Founded in 2004, The CATA Chamber strives to raise awareness amongst business communities in California by various forms of real money blackjack support, informative activities and networking events, while also assisting Turkish and American professionals in neighboring states. As part of its mission, it aims to empower Turkish and American businessmen and women to become more successful citizens  by facilitating, supporting and managing business relationships. CATA chamber also seeks to promote trade and business opportunities between U.S. and Turkey through partnerships and collaboration.
