On February 25, 2015, Cemil Teber, President of Turkic American Federation of Southeast (TAFS), together with a Turkish delegation led by Hon. Ertugrul Gunay, Former Turkish Minister of Culture was welcomed at the Georgia Capitol as part of 6th Annual Turkish Day celebrations. During the visit, the Florida delegation also met with Georgia State Legislators before visiting the Istanbul Cultural Center in Florida.
Later, the Dr. Taban, Cemil Teber and the delegations from Turkey, including Florida and Georgia, visited Bahamas, where they held the 1st Annual Turkish-Bahamian Friendship Reception, attended by prominent community and business leaders. The delegations were later welcomed to the Government House in Bahamas, where they met with Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General of Bahamas.
