During the weekend of February 21st-23rd, Dr. Taban, President of the Turkic American Alliance (TAA), attended the annual winter meeting of the National Governors Association.
The NGA meetings make national headlines each year as the nation’s governors convene in Washington, D.C., to discuss issues affecting states, to share innovative solutions and to look for ways to strengthen state-federal partnerships. The meeting also includes sessions with the President and members of his cabinet, in addition to business leaders and other experts.
Dr. Taban had the distinct honor to meet with several Governors, including Janice Brewer of Arizona, Pat Quinn of Illinois, Scott Walker of Wisconsin, and Mike Pence of Indiana.
