Journalists Prof. Dr. Mumtazer Turkone fromZaman Newspaper and Adem Yavuz Arslan from Bugun Newspaper visited Turkic American Alliance (TAA) at its headquarters, Washington D.C. After getting a brief summary of TAA events Dr. Turkone and Mr. Arslan talked about recent elections which resulted with the victory of Justice and Development Party (AKP).
Both Dr. Turkone and Arslan’s short speeches about the recent elections and the crises that appears right after it regarding Hatip Dicle’s disapproval him as a Member of Parliament. Dr. Turkone highlighted the situation of Kurds in Turkey and noted that he is supporting the right to have education in Kurdish within Turkey without any restrictions. Under this topic Prof. Turkone points out that these types of rights will eliminate the conflicts between Kurdish citizens and Turkish state.
