Today, one of TAA member federations, MAFTAA held the 3rd Virginian Turkish-American Cultural Reception at the Old City Hall in Richmond, Virginia with its one of member organizations, ATFA. TAA staffs have attended to the wonderful reception that many state Senators and Delegates were in attendance. The Senators and Delegates talked on US-Turkey relations and the contributions of Turkish Americans inVirginia to the fabric of the great society of the state and relations
between not onlythe US and Turkey but also relations between the state of Virginia and Turkey. For example, Delegate Mark D. Sickles underlined the importance of Turkey Trips that MAFTAA organizes. He said he was a part of one of those trips and visited Turkey in 2010. Delegate Sickles also emphasized the contributions of direct flights from Dulles International Airport to Turkey via Turkish Airlines to the improvement of relations. As it is usual, there were delicious Turkish cuisine, live music, and Turkish traditional art exhibition during the reception. Pinnacle Academy students performed their traditional Turkish folklore dance and thus they made the evening colorful. They also welcomed distinguished guests whom mainly consist of state Senators and Delegates by offering delicious Turkish delights
