The 6th Annual Turkic American Convention & Business Summit will officially kick off with a Welcome Reception at the U.S. Senate Dirksen Building Room 106 on Tuesday, March 15th, 2016. The Gala Reception will take place on March 16th at Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC. This year’s Convention will focus on increasing engagement with Turkic Americans and East Africa Communities in particular, strengthening trade and facilitating investment opportunities in various sectors.
The Turkic American Convention & Business Summit will take place on March 15th – 16th, 2016. Organizers of the convention, the Turkic American Alliance and the Turkic American Chamber of Commerce, estimate that the two-day event will attract over 500 businesspersons and government officials from Central Asia, East Africa, Eurasia, and the United States. During this year’s Convention and Business Summit, we plan to highlight and increase our engagement with the Turkic Americans and East African Community in particular; strengthen trade and investment opportunities between the U.S. and Africa in a variety of sectors, not limited to — manufacturing, infrastructure, financial services, education, agriculture and technology. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to create partnerships, and play a pivotal role in forming initiatives that would contribute to the region’s development.
The Convention will officially kick off with a Welcome Reception at the U.S. Senate Dirksen Building on Tuesday, March 15th at 6:00pm to be highly attended by members of the U.S. Senate, their senior advisors, including participants from the nation and worldwide. A breakfast will be held at the Turkic American Alliance headquarters on Wednesday, March 16th from 9:00-10:30am for international delegations and business leaders. Throughout the day participants will also attend networking events and meetings with prominent leaders, government officials and U.S. Members of Congress. A Gala Dinner at 6:30pm will wrap up the Annual Turkic American Convention and Business Summit.
